Review of Townista - a mobile app to help you make your life fun in the metro cities

Townista let's you know what's happening in your neighborhood and around; party, concert or event. Also it helps you in finding restaurants in a city or town of your choice. I use Townista to make my weekends fun filled. Here is my opinion!

Townista Do you stay in Bangalore? Well, you are lucky to be in one of the most beautiful cities of India. Everything is great there; business, culture, weather, entertainment, job opportunities or living. This vibrant city has left very little to complain about except some civic amenities like water logging on streets during rainy days. If you are in Bangalore, I am quite sure; your weekends are fun filled.

Bangalore is a big city, a business heaven and entertainment hub. Exploring across city is not an easy task. You have to spend hours in front of computer screen to know what's happening where.

I am passionate about the Silicon Valley of India and want to explore every nook and corner of it. I always can go biking from length to breadth, but I always wish to enjoy my weekends fullest. A good weekend rejuvenates my energy levels for full next week.

Unfortunately, I no longer live in Bangalore. We really miss the restaurants and shopping malls, especially Barbeque Nation. I visit Bangalore every few months for business reasons and I thought I would share my experience on Townista, an Android app I use every time I'm in Bangalore.

Only after I installed Townista, I realized Bangalore has so much fun to be explored. The events and places are organized into collections like Historic Monuments, Temples, Must visit Bars, Long Drive Roads etc. Most of the data in the app is manually compiled by the team and also includes options to go to the map, which is integrated with your GPS app. If there is a phone number displayed, you can click on it to launch your dialpad and call them directly.

Townista - a comprehensive city guide

Each time I visit Bangalore, I usually stay a few days there with my sister and go around our favourite places and restaurants. One thing that makes our travel not so comfortable is, we don't get a lot of information about the events and activities going on. In such cases, Townista came very handy to our entire family.

The app tells me everything happening in Bangalore. I can decide very easily what to do when in the town; viz;. Amazing Activities, Events, Restaurants and Places

That must be awesome find! Having an app handy while you are visiting city is really quite helpful. It keeps you aware of what's happening around you.
By the way, do they have coverage for Goa? And if not, any plans for the same?
