To know more details you need to go through the details given below.

Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 8.0 (Rs. 21 K)

Display
Review of Lenovo Yoga Tablet 2 (8.0) at Rs. 21 K
Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 comes with an 8.0 inches IPS LCD display which supports resolutions of up to 1200 x 1920 pixels. But I found the pixel density to be somewhat below the average mark. It has a pixel density of just 283 PPI and in my view a 350+ PPI would have been far better to blend with its screen size. Upon using this Tab for a complete 1 month, I found that sometimes the screen flickers a lot when passing from one task to another. Eventually, I searched online for some solutions to this and ultimately was able to fix the problem. Follow these steps to fix screen flickering:
  1. Go to settings > about phone
  2. Now, tap the "build number" 6 times till you see a notification which mentions you as a developer.
  3. Go back to settings, and now you'll see developer options above 'about phone'.
  4. Select the developer options, and click "disable hardware overlays" under the drawing section.

I got my problem fixed with this method and I highly recommend you to follow these steps if you are also facing the same problem.

Platform
Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 runs on Android OS, v4.4.2 (KitKat) and supports almost every app you could find on the Play Store. It is powered by Intel Atom Z3745, Quad-core 1.33 GHz processor which comes paired with 2 GB of RAM and these hardware specs are well enough for a smooth multi-tasking. In order to test its skills, I went on for some hardcore gaming and selected some of the graphic and CPU thirsty games like Asphalt 8, Modern Combat 4, Gangster Vegas and GTA San andreas. And to my surprise, none of them lagged on such a big screen. However, I did face some minor lags with Modern Combat 4 and Modern Combat 5, but that didn't spoil my gaming experience. And I must say this device is rock solid in terms of its hardware performance.

Memory
Lenovo Yoga Tab 2 provides 16 GB of internal space and can be expanded up to an incredible 64 GB using an external microSD card. So, whether it be heavy games, Ultra HD movies ( I mean 1080p) or hundreds of HD video songs, you would never run out of storage. But keep in mind that this device is loaded with "exFAT" file system and a 64 GB microSD card would not be supported by default. So, in order to use a 64 GB card, you will have to first format this card to FAT32 system using some partition manager software on your PC or Laptop. And after successfully formatting the card, you would be able to use it with this Tab.

Camera
It has a primary camera of 8 MP, 3264 x 2448 pixels which is accompanied with Auto-focus feature so that users can click photos with a much clear view. But it comes with just a 1.6 MP front camera and that should have been at least 5 MP considering its 21k price tag. However, users can still use it for video chatting as it has a large size screen of 8.0 inches, so it gives a better look while using video chatting feature.

Sound & Connectivity
I was very much amazed upon using its sound system. It comes embedded with a loud speaker which is loud and clear enough for a smooth audio playing. The sound quality is very much clear, soothing and premium, a special thanks to its Dolby sound system. And regarding the connectivity, it supports a 3.5 mm audio jack for headphones connectivity. It has a perfect OTG support and comes with Wi-Fi 802.11 a/b/g/n with dual-band and hotspot features. It supports Bluetooth (v4.0) so as to share data between the connected devices with blazing speed. It supports GPS and microUSB (v2.0) with USB Host feature.

Other Features
It supports just two sensors and these are Accelerometer and compass. It supports some messaging related features and they are SMS(threaded view), MMS, Email, Push Email and IM so as to connect with your friends, relative, etc. It also supports Java.

Battery and Misc
It is powered by a Li-Ion 6400 mAh battery which promises you to give an easy Stand-by time of up to 324 h (3G) and Talk time Up to 18 h (3G). It is available in just one color and that is Platinum.

My Verdict

Although the device suffers some minor issues but still it is a good buy for its price range. I checked this device's capability by taking it to extreme limits and found to be complying with my needs. 1080p HD videos, heavy apps and graphic thirsty games were smooth enough for an overall good experience. But I must say - if you are looking for a Tab with good camera features, I suggest you to opt for some other device than this one. However, if you are searching for a device with good performance then this device is specially built for you.
