How to extend the battery life of your phone?


Have you ever shuddered in fear that your battery might die on you when you need it the most? We all have had those moments. Thankfully, there are ways to preserve your iPhone battery. Here are some of them.

Nothing is worse than your iPhone dying on you unexpectedly. It's a horror too many people too often face. You can relate to it if you use your phone a lot throughout the day.

So what do we need to do? How to extend the battery life of your phone? We have put together a list of some easy ways to ensure that your phone's battery doesn't die often.

1. Find out what's draining your battery - With iOS 8, Apple has finally included a way to see a detailed breakdown of all the apps that are using the battery. Go to Settings > Usage > Battery Usage and close those apps that are taxing on your battery.

2. Don't use fancy wallpapers - Those floating look cool for sure, but they knock the the life out of your phone's battery. Instead, use a simple wallpaper or a photo from our phone.

3. Reduce brightness - Reducing brightness might not seem like a battery saver task, but you won't believe how effective it really is! Go to Settings > Wallpapers & Brightness and reduce the brightness to a level you are comfortable with.

4. Protect your phone from extreme temperatures - Don't expose your phone to extreme temperatures too often. Ideally, you should try to keep our phone at room temperature, more or less.

5. Turn off automatic updates - Granted, automated updates help you save some of your time, it consumes a lot of your battery in the process. So if you want to avoid plugging in too often, go to Settings > iTunes & App Store and turn it off.

These battery hacks would enable you to do more with your phone while avoiding plugging in too often.

Truly enough, these battery saving tips are applicable for all phones - not only iPhone. Turning automatic updates off is the best option which saves battery to a great extent. Getting rid of fancy live wallpapers is another great way of getting through the day.
