Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard with Color Display is an ultimate addition to Logitech's G family. The keyboard boasts a fully functional LCD monitor which is 320x240 pixels in size. In my opinion, Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard with Color Display is the best gaming keyboard so far. What really make this gaming keyboard stand out among the others is its tilt-able 320x240 LCD screen which you can use to view in game statistics, monitor computer performance and VOIP communication data without leaving your favourite game for even a second.
The LCD screen is not limited to above mentioned functions only, as already mentioned its a full blown mini monitor, it can be used to watch YouTube videos and playback slideshows. Here is a tip, you can have the mini monitor view a new cool move of your favorite game while you practice on the your own monitor. Ain't that too cool?
Media control keys are designed to play previous, next or change a track. The volume control is the same as Logitech G110 gaming keyboard. It is basically a track ball which you can use to alter volume easily during a gameplay.
A keyboard is not a gaming keyboard unless it is packed with some macros keys (programmable) and this is no exception to Logitech G19 Gaming Keyboard. There are 12 macros keys which can be programmed on the fly during a gameplay with simple touch of a button. On board memory saves the keys so that you can use this gaming keyboard anywhere you want to.
Different profiles let you customize upto 36 macros keys.
The keys on the keyboard are not crammed into each other and are not far apart either. Just about the right balance there. You actually feel a key press which registers a command with a slight brush so that you do not have to ram the keys to get them to function. The keys are actually back-lit. You can choose different colors and also different brightness of the glow on the keys.
While most good gaming keyboards come with only one USB port, this keyboard bags a total of two ports which you can use to connect your gaming mouse and/or headset but is not limited to only two of these. To keep things clean, the body is designed to cater for most of the cables.
It allows up to 5 keys to be pressed simultaneously and the gaming mode, when turned on, renders the keyboard not to respond to accidental Windows key press.
The only draw back of this keyboard is the AC adapter that you have to plug in, but it is logical as the keyboard runs a fully functional LCD.
