How to add Items as options in the 'Send to' menu of Windows 7

We see some options in the 'Send to' menu of the right-click in Windows 7 Operating System. There are some number of options. But, if you hold SHIFT key and move to the same 'Send to' option, more number of options are shown. We can also add more options to this list. This article will help you in doing just that.

We move files or folders to other folder locations by just using copy and paste options in Windows 7 Operating System. If we plug any external device, we use "Send to" option of the right-click menu. Without connecting any external device also, we can see some options in the right-click menu and those are default options.
Default sendto menu
If you hold the shift key and right click on the folder or file and move to "Send to" menu, more options are shown in the menu.

But, there is a way to add more options to this menu. Yes, you heard it right. We can add as many options we want to "Send to" list. The items which you add apart from the default items are known as secret items and this can be done in some simple steps. Follow the steps mentioned below to add more items to this menu list.

Steps to be followed to add items to Right-Click menu:

If you want to add these extra secret items in the "Send to" menu without holding the SHIFT key, type "shell:sendto" in the address bar of the Windows Explorer. A window opens up which shows the default options of "Send to" menu.
Normal sendto Menu
Drag and drop the shortcut of folder locations or create new folder in to this location that you want to add to the default menu of "Send to". I created a folder by name "new item".

Once you are done with that, now right click on the folder or file and move to "Send to". Now the options in the menu shows the folder "new item" you just added.
