Hands-on Review of the 2500 mAh power bank from Astrum (Lithium-Polymer)

Tiny, sleek and made out of Lithium-polymer batteries - the Astrum Power Bank is your perfect companion for unexpected emergency situations to charge your portable devices. Read more about this powerful little device that is extremely light weight and easily fits your pocket.

Astrum Power Bank

I don't use power banks on an everyday basis, but whenever I do need them, I notice they do not have as much charge as was left in them. I own a 10,400 mAh power bank from Xiaomi, as well as a 9000 mAh power bank from Samsung, both of which are made out of lithium-ion batteries. So this time around, I decided to give the lithium-polymer based Astrum Power Bank a try. This power bank from Astrum is a 2500 mAh portable external charger that is made out of Lithium Polymer battery. Most of the other power banks available in the market are made out of the usual lithium-ion batteries that are comparatively cheap and easier to manufacture.

As you would know, all power banks leak a bit of charge when not in use, the advantage of having a lithium-polymer power bank is that over a period of time, it is able to hold a lot more charge than any lithium-ion based power bank. Also, lithium-polymer batteries are a lot thinner which explains the paper thin shape of this power bank.

This power bank is extremely light to begin with, it shouldn't weigh more than 50 grams. The super thin design makes it very convenient to carry around in your pocket. It also comes with a micro-usb cable as part of the body so you don't really need to carry any additional cables and wires with you.

There is an LED light on the back that turns blue when charging other devices and red when being charged itself. The output it supplies is the usual 5V-1amp. On the left hand side of this sleek body is another micro-usb port which can be used to charge this power bank itself. Since, power banks were designed to provide charge to your portable electronics during unexpected emergencies, this one completely fits the bill. Tiny, sleek and a decent battery capacity. I am extremely impressed with this power bank so far and would recommend it to anyone who's looking for a quality lithium polymer based power bank. These batteries are a bit expensive when compared with lithium-ion batteries but are capable of saving every drop of juice stored in them.

Hi, I recently bought a slim power banker, it's a 2500mah. How do I know if it's battery full when charging it. They told to charge it once every 3months. Every time I use it, it charges my phone up to 60% and it goes off. Why? How should I handle it?

How long does it take to charge this battery? Is there any change in the indicator light when it is fully charged?
