Review of JustCloud - free cloud storage
Are you looking for a free cloud storage service? Take a look at our review of JustCloud, another professional cloud storage service that offers plenty of free storage space in the cloud.
I was looking for some more free and secure cloud storage services since I didn't want to depend on just one service. I am using DropBox and OneDrive to backup some of our data but wanted to have some alternate options for certain files that I wanted to keep in a secure storage other than DropBox and OneDrive.
My search for a free and secure cloud storage took me to JustCloud, which looks pretty impressive so far. Let us take a close look at what JustCloud offers for free and what do we get by upgrading to a business plan.Signup for JustCloud

Once you install the JustCloud app, it takes less than a minute to login and configure the backup settings using the app.
The first step is to login to the application using the credentials you used while creating an account at their website.
After you login, you can select the folders and files in the next step. You may either leave the default selections (pictures, documents etc) or choose the custom folders. You can change your selections any time later.
Once you complete the initial configuration, you are ready to start your cloud backup. Depending on the number of files in the folders, it may take few minutes or several hours to complete the initial backup.Settings
There are a bunch of advanced settings available.
Scheduling: You can choose how often you want the upgrades to run. You can choose daily back up or schedule it the way you want. Manual option is also possible. There is a hourly option, which is available only for paid customers.
Max file size and file type exclusion: If you don't want to use your bandwidth to upload unusually big files, you can use this option to restrict the maximum file size. JustCloud will skip any files bigger than your configured size while saving the files to the cloud server. There is another option to exclude certain file types.
Maximum file size allowed for free account is 1 GB per file.
Background options: JustCloud allows you to select a few configurations:
1. Run backup only when a screen saver is activated.
2. Stop backup when running on battery power.Advantages of JustCloud over DropBox
JustCloud has several advantages over DropBox.
1. Options to exclude large files
2. Option to exclude files by file type (file extension)
3. Adjust file sync according to the system resource usage. With JustCloud, you can control how fast you want the files to be uploaded.
4. JustCloud's explorer integration allows you to right click on any folder or file in your explorer and allows you to add to backup list or remove from backup list.
5. Incremental backup feature in JustCloud uploads only the portion of the file that is changed instead of uploading a big file every time it is changed. (I haven't tested this feature yet).
If you don't need a huge storage and can live with the free 1 Gb storage offered by JustCloud, it is a good free cloud storage service with some great features. There are several upgrade options available, which you can activate feature by feature by paying only for the selected features.
