Amazon Launched NEFT Payment Method for its Amazon India Associates

Here's some good news for all Amazon India Associates. Amazon launched NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) payment method for its associates. On 8 July, Amazon team mailed all its customers saying, "We are excited to announce the launch of NEFT (National Electronic Funds Transfer) as a payment method for all Amazon.in Associates. With this launch, all Associates can now get their earnings deposited directly into their bank accounts (once their earnings exceed INR 1,000)."



This means that you no longer need to wait for your earnings to reach INR 2,500 to withdraw it via cheque. Just update your bank details on the "Change Payment Method" page under the 'Account Settings' link given on Associates Central and you will very conveniently receive earnings in your bank account via NEFT. This is a quicker and more secure way of transferring money.



Of course the earlier option wherein you can receive your cheque at your registered address is open but I am an Amazon India Associate myself and I can't think of any reason why I would need a cheque once the NEFT Payment Method is launched. Waiting for the threshold amount of INR 2,500 for a cheque that can take more than a week to deliver is not something I would like. Using NEFT method, I can receive my earnings in two business days and there isn't any fee. The service is free of cost. Voila! What more could we ask for.

To receive your earnings up to June via NEFT, you will have to wait a bit as the first batch of payments will start in the last week of August 2014.
