Chapter 8: The Dawn's Light Walkthrough
After going through Thief chapter 7 walkthrough, let's move onto the next chapter. When the chapter 8 starts, you should access the crawl space on the right instead of using the stairs on the left. Now, go through this crawl space and then the tunnel to reach your waypoint. Here, you will encounter several mutated humans. These mutated humans will move towards the sound heard by them. So, just stay low, quiet and stealthy.
After this, continue your way until you reach a locked door. You can easily pick the lock of this door. After lock picking, you will be in a small city. Here, do not go in the area which is brightly lit as there are so many guards on that way. Instead take the tunnel on your right and then climb the blue tinted pipes. Here, you will notice a guard coming to your direction. It is your wish to whether kill him or pass him quietly. After dealing with this guard, move to the stairs and these stairs will lead you to a small room with a couple of guards. You can easily distract them from their positions. And when they will get distracted, you should exit this room. Here, drop down and you will eventually meet a merchant. I recommend you to take one water arrow, one fire arrow and one arrow for head shot.
Now, move to the right and you will see a number of boxes on your left. Climb these boxes and continue this way. Stay along the right side and soon you will come to an area which can be climbed with the help of your claw. Climb it and use your rope dart to attach with the point just above you. Now, climb this rope and then jump to the platform. Now, you will see another rope on the other end of this platform. So, climb this rope and then finally drop down on the ship. 
Once you are on the ship, you have to climb to the upper levels using your claw. When the claw attachments will end, then drop down and access the stairs. Here, you should continue your way to the another staircase. While doing so, one guard will be coming to your direction. So, its better to use the "arrow headshot" for taking him down. After taking him down, take the right turn and head towards your waypoint. Soon, you will see another claw attachment marked with 'X' over a circle. Use this attachment and climb it. After climbing, you have to drop down on the elevator shaft. When the door will open, there will be one guard. I recommend you to take him down. Now, also take down the guard in the adjacent room. Go right and search for a locked door on the left. Just pick its lock and you will gain access to a rope. Use this rope to get down. Here, you will see a couple of guards guarding a room. Now the only way to attack them is to fire your fire arrow at the dark space between these guards. This dark space is highly flammable and thus it will result in the death of these guards. Now simply pick lock of the room which these guards were securing.
Now, head towards the hall and then open the upcoming two doors. Soon, you will see Erin and when you will try to touch her, she will disappear. Now, climb up the ceiling but watch out for the bright glow coming from below. Now, head towards it and touch Erin. You have to do it as quietly as you can. This will trigger a boss fight with her. In this boss fight, you have to collect the three stone fragments. But remember to collect them in sequence, that is, from near point to the farther point. In order to collect these stone fragments, you have to first head left from the beginning of the entrance and grab the first stone fragment. Now continue to move this way until you are forced to take the right turn. Just cross the plank and take the second stone fragment. The third stone fragment will be on the lower level. So, you have to drop down to find and grab this stone fragment. Now, finally go to the Erin to trigger a cut scene. Congrats! you have successfully completed Thief 2014 game.
