Google plus: Dragons of Atlantis review, gameplay and tips to play

Here is a review of the Google Plus game Dragons of Atlantis. Read this article to know how to play this game, what are the interesting and cool features of this game and how to stay on top of this game.

Google games has really added to that much needed something that was needed to keep me on Google plus. So when finally Google announced games on its gaming platform that was it. The first game I tried out was Angry birds which is more or less the same and here I bring you the review of the next game called Dragons of Atlantis.

When I read the title 'Dragons of Atlantis' it notched up my interest as I expected playing with a dragon but after quite amount of time playing this game I have still not found much use of the dragon.
Atlantis is going to fall in the ocean and become a legend forever but before that four Atlantean tribes must compete with each other to decide the future of humanity and this key is winning – The Dragons of Atlantis
The game starts with choosing a tribe and then you are given a city which you have to build and expand. Dragons of Atlantis in most ways is similar to Kingdoms of Camelot but has a added ting of fantasy with beings like dragons, minotaurs, giants, etc.
The field of game is divided into three parts: city, field and the world map. The world map is the wilderness which have to be conquered in order to expand the cities, the field is where there is the area for lumber, quarrying, mining and farming and the city is where the populations resides and the players learn science and train troops.

The farm resources are used for the development and upkeep f the city as well as for the upkeep of the dragons. Even after playing this game for several weeks now I have found only one use of the dragons. The use is that as you build up the keep of the dragon where it is hatched and raised the size and power of the dragon also keeps on increasing. So with some time you can use these dragons are troops for defending and conquering other cities. However it is not that easy to build a dragon army so don't expect a full troop in the beginning days itself.

The players are rewarded in certain ways on building their cities like on form of gold and other resources. The graphics of the game look quite cool on and are at par with Kingdoms of Camelot although in this you will not get the animated graphic of the dragon hatching in the city. When you see the dragon spread its wings you really want to see it again.

At last I will only say that Dragons of Atlantis is a nice variant of Kingdoms of Camelot but with the added tinge of fantasy which make the pictures of Dragons of Atlantis much better.

If and only if there were more roles of dragons in the game play like training with the players and sort of partnership relationship this game could had been a much more addictive than its present level. Except when you get those rare upgrades, most of the times in this game all you do is increase your resources.

Dragons of Atlantis is not going to phase out soon but its developers need to add in some new features once in a while in order to keep its identity separate from other games. I will keep playing this game for a little more while but unless there is more of interaction with the dragons in the game I will leave it soon.

Pros: City building with fantasy theme a nice idea
Cons: Dragons have less involvement especially in the start
