Simple interface - Even before we start listing out the technical features of the product, we have to tell you of the interface of the product. No, there are no splash screens in there. What you see is a beautiful gradient in blue with beautiful buttons placed perfectly on the face of it. You see six options to do what you desire (features about which we've explained further in this article). There's an about button clicking on which you get to know of the copyright details and stuff. Then there's a Share button, clicking which leads you to your Twitter account, asking you to share about the product. And then there's and exit button of which we need not explain. And then there's a link using which you can register if you haven't already.

MP3 Converter - It's turn for the technicalities. This software lets you convert your audio files between varieties of formats. You can choose the desired output format, select the bitrate you want to and adjust the sampling rate as per your choice. In case you want to turn a stereo track into mono, that's doable. Select the output folder and click on the 'Start Converting Now' button and it lets you convert multiple files in a batch. It's totally simple. There are no advanced options to confuse you or lead you off the track. If you want to jump to the home screen of the product, click on Exit and there you are.

CD to MP3 Ripper - MP3 Toolkit utility can also be used for ripping out MP3 files from audio CDs. So, if you have the latest Linkin Park audio CD and you want to pull out high quality MP3 files, all you've got to do is push the CD into the DVD drive of your system and select the format you desire for your output files. Currently, MP3 Toolkit can rip audio CDs into MP3, WAV, APE and WMA formats. Choose the format you like, select the bitrate that's ideal for you, select the maximum VBR bitrate. Next comes VBR encoding quality which you can set to very high if you are looking for high clarity and stuff. If you want to allow the software to use its brain into bringing the variable bitrate benefits into your audio tracks, just tick it. Select the output folder and click on start. And bingo! There you go.

MP3 Tag Editor - Using MP3 Toolkit you can also edit the tags of your favourite MP3 files. The current version of this product supports all ID3v 1.1 and ID3v2.x options. You can edit the title; insert the actual artist's name, provide the name of the album to which the song belongs to if it isn't mentioned already. You can insert the year the song was released, select its genre and even add comments if you like. If you want to add lyrics to this song and look at which while playing it on your favourite media player or MP3 player, you can put the text too. Next, you can choose the correct album art for the song. Now, you don't need to keep Googling 'how to add album art to the song' all the time without having any real clue. This software keeps things simple and easy enough for you.

MP3 Merger - If you have too many audio files and you want to make one big track out of them, you can use the MP3 merger facility of MP3 Toolkit. Just drag and drop the files you want to merge, select the bitrate, sampling rate, output channel and path and simply click on Merge MP3 Files Now button.

All you've got to do is open the audio/video file, click on the play button to play it, select the start and end positions and click on the save button to get the desired end result. Further you can also e-mail stuff from this facility. There's also a random cutter which lets you randomly cut your file to get a trimmed audio file.

Review

MP3 Toolkit is a simple yet elegantly designed product. Without having cluttered their website or the product itself with the 'Buy Now' button everywhere, it lets you use it without hassle. It seems as though it politely requests you to register if you haven't. That comes for around $30 and that's sounds a bit too much for a product like this. However, for the ease of use and the set of features it has to offer you, and the size it comes in, maybe you want to shell out a little to soothe your senses. It's a good product to use otherwise and gives you no needless troubles. Go ahead, download it and see for yourself.
