As per the usage we came to know about the battery life of Apple iPad Air which is up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music. If we are using iPad Air Wi-Fi+Cellular then battery life will be up to 10 hours of surfing the web on Wi-Fi, watching video, or listening to music and Up to 9 hours of surfing the web using cellular data network.
Usage is all up to us that how much applications we are using on our iPad Air and for how much time we are using them on iPad Air. So you have to aware about the battery percentage of your iPad Air and for this you can go to the Settings app , then go to general and then go to usage. By this you will come to know about the usage of your iPad Air. You can also check the last time of charge too.
On the top right corner of the iPad Air, there is a battery indicator which will tell you about the usage of your battery. To display the battery percentage indicator, go to Settings app, then tap on to General and then Usage and scroll down and tap on the Battery Percentage toggle to enable it.

1. Go to settings, tap the general option then go to the auto lock option and you will find the timing there. Set the timing according to your requirement.
2. Other important thing which you have to keep in mind is that just turn off your Bluetooth and Wi-Fi. Just go to settings, then tap the Wi-Fi option if your Wi-Fi is on or go to Bluetooth option if your Bluetooth is on.
3. Screen brightness is also the main factor through which you can improve your battery life. For this, go to settings option and then tap the brightness & wallpaper option. By this you can adjust the brightness of the screen. If you are in a dark place, then you can use this option.
4. Go to settings, then click on Privacy button and tap the location services option. In this option you will find the location services option with on or off button. Below this you will see the other option like used apps and some GPRS services. So if you are not using some services then off them or if you want to off all the services then just turn location services off which is at the top of the screen.

6. Adjust your mail settings is a good way to improve battery life, because in settings and then mails option. You will find the option of fetching mails. So set the manual option or just off that feature.

8. Keep your phone away from the hot area like sun light and other area where heat is more.
9. Close all the apps while you are not using your iPad Air, because some of the applications run in the background and they result in more battery users.
10. Go to Settings, then iTunes and App Store, after that scroll down to the Automatic Downloads section and turn off the "Updates" switch.
11. Turn off SIRI if you are not using it.
