Whereas, cost of Standard Definition (SD) equipment of Videocon DTH TV is Rs 1,390. With this pack a New Diamond pack is free for Seventy-five days or customer can avail another pack i.e. Platinum pack for free but just for sixty days. Videocon DTH TV provides another service i.e. online service. Customer can avail this service form his home. For this service Videocon DTH TV charges Rs 1,690, but this service is actually of Rs 1,490 as customer gets Rs 200 back.
2)Installation Cost: Installation cost is charged by the service providers at the time when a customer takes new connection. Airtel digital TV does not take any installation charges. Thus installation of Airtel digital TV is free for the customer. Whereas, Videocon DTH TV charges Rs 300 for installation. Thus, in this comparison services given by Airtel digital TV is better than Videocon DTH TV.
3)Facility of Radio or Audio Channels: Airtel digital TV gives ten Audio channels of All India Radio, it comprises FM Gold, FM Rainbow (Bangalore), AIR (Tamil), AIR (Ragam,) AIR (Telgu), AIR (Bengali), AIR (Gujrati) and AIR (Urdu). But the Radio service provided by Videocon DTH TV has some cost. Videocon DTH TV provides twenty active music channels, this costs Rs 20 (per month).
4) Minimum Plan: Minimum plan is the plan service for one month. Here, the customer has to make the payment every month. Minimum plan given by Airtel digital TV is of Rs 210.In this pack there are only 157 channels. Minimum value pack for south is of Rs 120 this pack has just 119 channels.
5)Minimum plan of Videocon DTH TV starts from Rs 150. In this pack Videocon DTH TV provides 196 channels. Thus, in this comparison it can be said that Airtel digital TV is better than Videocon DTH TV, but Videocon DTH TV is cheaper than Airtel digital TV.
6)Long- Term Plan: Long- term plan is for one year, this makes easy for customer to avail the services. Long- term plan of Airtel digital TV is of Rs.2784, this is the economy pack as there are forty- five days extra. In this pack there are 157 channels. Whereas, long- term plan of Videocon DTH TV is of Rs.1650, this is a Gold plan (for one year).
Thus, in this comparison it can be said that Videocon DTH TV is better than Airtel digital TV.
