Some of the services that make difference between Reliance digital TV and Tata Sky DTH TV are discussed as under:
1)SD Cost or Cost of Standard Definition Equipment Cost: Cost of Standard Definition equipment taken by Reliance digital TV is Rs.1490. With this pack it offer four month free services. Whereas, in case of Tata Sky DTH TV it is just Rs.999 or it takes Rs.1399. With this pack there is no installation charge taken and one month grand sports pack and four showcase movies are free to the customer.
2)Installation Charges: Installation charges are taken at the time of providing connection to the customer and charged once. Reliance digital TV does not take any installation charges. Whereas, Tata Sky DTH TV takes some nominal charges i.e. Rs.400 at the time of purchasing SD equipment. Thus, Reliance digital TV is more costly than Tata Sky DTH TV. SD equipment can be purchased separately for Tata Sky DTH TV but this facility is not available for Reliance digital TV.
3)Facility of Radio: Some of the customers prefer listening to radio. Thus, to serve these customers, companies now provide both the services i.e. television and radio in the same pack. There are 10 audio channels provided by Reliance digital TV but Tata Sky DTH TV provides no such service to its customer.
4)Minimum Plan: Minimum plans are meant for those customers who are willing to try services for a short period i.e. one month plan. Minimum plan of Reliance digital TV starts from Rs.132 in this pack 102 channels are offered by the service provider. Whereas, minimum plan of Tata Sky DTH TV starts from Rs.165 and they provide just 89 channels. In this case Reliance digital TV is better than Tata Sky DTH TV.
5)Long-Term Plan: Long-term plans are the yearly plans offered to the customer. Thus, customer does not need bother to make payment every year. Long-term plan of Reliance digital TV starts from Rs.1366, this value pack has 102 channels.
Long-term plan of Tata Sky DTH TV starts from Rs.1815 and the channels provided are just 89. Numbers of channels provided by both the companies do not differ. Thus, here again in this comparison Reliance digital TV is better than Tata Sky DTH TV.
6)High Definition (HD) Box: HD box provided by Reliance digital TV is of Rs.2790 and with this pack they give free services for three months. Whereas, HD box provided by Tata Sky DTH TV is of Rs.3050 and Tata Sky DTH TV offers regional and HD Gold pack free for two months. Tata Sky DTH TV also takes no installation charges for this.
