SEO: Search Engine Optimization

What makes your SEO friendly post dead

'Dead' here indicates its poor performance of your article when compared to other active posts. Generally, every new blogger expects higher page rank though they have nothing to do now, in the very beginning of his career and I hope the same you do. You might have learnt that implementing Search Engine Optimization to your blog posts increases its rank and brings new visitors and the same way every blogger does. Of course, you are right but why thousands of bloggers get nothing? Though your intention is to make an SEO friendly article, you are missing perfectness in it. So, read on to know how to perfectly implement SEO in your articles. Remember this will guide only WordPress users not BlogSpot bloggers.

How to implement perfect SEO

Most of the bloggers concentrate on making a user i.e. reader friendly title for his post and neglects to optimize it for Search Engines. Keyword placement in title also plays a major role in SEO and there are several plugins like SEOPressor. These plugins can assist you even in critical updates like Panda, Penguin or Humming Bird. WordPress enables you to add Meta title in addition to normal one and Meta title is what search engines read. If your blog is product oriented i.e. about gadgets, you can use high searched keywords like review, Hands on, experience etc. Likewise you can use keyword suggestion tools like LongTailPro, Traffic Travis for high ranked keywords. Also, don't forget to add Meta description for every post including your target keywords. However, some argue that Meta data has nothing to do with SEO, it may not be applicable to WordPress. It is better to use long keywords with more than three words to rank better. Images included in posts also play in SEO so, it is advised to use perfect and appropriate name i.e. title for your images. This helps your image search of Google land on your blog posts thereby helping you.

Also some bloggers frequently change their blog permalink which is not that good and it may be considered as spam by Google. Since that specific post is already crawled by Google bots and a rank is allotted to that specific web page. Now if you change permalink of that page i.e. post, it will surely be considered as spam. Moreover adding internal links i.e. links to other related posts of your blog and this helps search engines to crawl your older post and also increase the page view count. Also, it is very essential to know the demanding keywords what users search mostly. Some bloggers use high ranked keywords like 'make money online' and 'top 10 something' but don't get enough traffic. It is because they used those keywords for irrelevant topic or they don't include those targeted words in their article. Using a keyword in excess or using multiple unnecessary keywords may lead your blog post to spam. So, by considering the importance of keyword placement and Meta summary, you should consider optimization for both search engines and users. This post though covers basic knowledge, may help new bloggers to learn how important it is to implement perfect SEO.
