Visiting hospitals and doctors is one of the things I hate for many reasons. Obviously, no one likes to get sick and go to hospital. In addition to the feeling of being sick, you get to wait in long lines for your chance to meet the doctor. To add to the pain, unless you have a medical insurance, you will end up paying a consulting fees each time you visit, which otherwise you could have used for a week end dinner. Many times you get sick outside regular hospital hours. What if you get sick at the middle of the night? You need to wait till morning or rush to the emergency care which would cost you much more.

Here is a good news. Airtel is launching "Mediphone" service in India, which allows anyone with an Airtel phone to make a phone call and get medical advice through the phone. What is more convenient that sitting at your couch and listening to your doctor's advice when you are sick?
