How to check balance of Tata Photon+ datacard
Are you using Tata Photon+ or Tata DOCOMO for internet and want to check the balance? Read this article to learn how to check the balance and current usage of bandwidth so that you can recharge before you lose internet access.
I have been using Tata Photon+ for more than 2 years as a backup internet. I have been using Airtel broadband in Bangalore and later started using BSNL WiMax in Kochi. Both were giving me a lot of connectivity problems and the Tata Photon+ data card was very helpful.
One of problems I faced was, I will never know when the Tata Photon+ exceed the internet bandwidth and my internet will cut off. And without internet connection, it wouldn't be possible to recharge it since I haven't setup any other mode of recharging other than online recharge.
It would be convenient if you can check the bandwidth usage and recharge before you exceed the usage limit. Also, checking the internet usage periodically will help you adjust your internet usage and find out any unusual activity on your internet use.
There are couple of ways you can check the data usage of your Tata Photon+ and Tata DOCOMO data cards:
1. Call the customer support and sign up for regular SMS updates. They will send you daily updates of your bandwidth usage and the balance in your account. This is the most convenient way since you don't have to remember to login and check. Rather, you will get automatic SMS and check it at your convenience.
2. Contact customer support through online chat and they will check the balance for you. Chat support is available from 8AM to 12AM.
To reach the chat support, visit www.tatadocomo.com home page and click on the Chat Support link.
When the support person comes online, provide your account number and ask for the data balance.
3. Check the usage and balance online: Even though you will have to go through the process of logging in and checking the statistics, you can get the most up to date information from their website.How to check internet usage online
To check the internet usage online, follow the steps below:
- Go to the website http://www.tataphoton.com/.
- Click on the My Account link.
- If you have already registered your device with Tata Photon, you can login using the credentials you setup during initial registration. If you are a new user, create a new account.
- Once you register/login, you will see the Dashboard in your account page. Click on the "Usage Details" link to select a date range. You can choose any valid date range to see the internet data usage during that period.Error while checking data usage
Many times, I have seen an error page which shows the following message:
"Session Invalid login again"
I think this problem happens sometimes. If you are getting this error while checking the data usage, you may check back later.
