Sometimes for security purposes you apply patterns or lock codes to protect your Android phones from unwanted access. But sometimes unfortunately, you forget the pattern or lock code. In that case you can unlock phone using the security question that you chose while setting the lock code or pattern. In some cases you can forget security question also. Then you can use your Google account to unlock the phone. In case you have no access to your Google account, you are left with no option and you rush to your nearest mobile repair shop and they charge about 200 bucks from you. I am going to tell you the method to unlock your Samsung Android Phone.

Step 1: Turn off your phone. If it does not turn off normally, turn it off by pulling its battery.

Step 2: Start the phone in Recovery mode. To do so hold three buttons together viz. Power button, home button and volume button. If this combination do not work, use Google to search out how to start one phone in Recovery mode.

Step 3: Once you are in Recovery mode, scroll down to "wipe data/factory reset" option. You can scroll up and down using volume keys.

Step 4: Select "wipe data/factory reset " option by touching Home button.

Step 5: A new screen will appear asking you to confirm reset. Confirm by scrolling to "Yes " option and touching Home button.

Your phone will restart. After restarting, you will see that the phone is unlocked and reset to factory settings.

Warning: You will lose all your settings, contacts etc.
Note: Above method is tested on Samsung Galaxy Y and should work on all Samsung Android phones.
