Nokia announces another smartphone into its Lumia Series. Nokia comes up with Nokia Lumia 925 by making some changes to the Lumia 920. Nokia Lumia 925 was announced in May. Lumia 925 is a phone which comes with some premium features along with the features of Lumia 920 making it very compact. Let's have a look at those features.
Lumia 925 has rounded edges and the sides are made of aluminum while the back panel is made of polycarbonate. On the right side, there are three keys – Volume key, Power/ lock key and Camera key. On the top, there is a Micro SIM card slot, 3.5 mm audio jack and micro USB port. There is nothing either on the left side or bottom. The speaker is placed on the back side along with the camera. The dimensions of Nokia Lumia 925 are 129 x 70.6 x 8.5 mm. The weight of this device is 139 g which is on the lighter side when compared to Lumia 920 (185 g). The device is available in three colours – Black, White and Gray.
Nokia Lumia 925 comes with an AMOLED display technology and has a 4.5 inch (11.43 cm) WXGA ClearBlack Pure Motion HD+ display. The display comes with a resolution of 1280 x 768. The high resolution touchscreen comes with super sensitive technology. The touchscreen is capacitive and supports multi-touch and has a pixel density of 334 pixels per inch. The display has a TrueColor (24-bit) feature which supports 16 M colours and gives a pleasant viewing experience. Processor, OS and Memory
Nokia Lumia 925 is powered by Qualcomm Snapdragon 4 chipset and dual-core krait processor clocked at 1.5 GHz. It is well supported by Adreno 225 GPU (Graphics Processing Unit) which improves the graphic performance. With this processor, there will be smooth navigation and experience of multi-tasking, gaming, watching videos will be faster.
Lumia 925 runs on Microsoft Windows 8 OS. With the Modern UI of the OS, there will be live tiles which are highly customizable. The phone can be controlled by voice commands. The phone comes with apps like Internet Explorer 10, MS Office, Kid's Corner, Wallet and Family Room.
There is support for audio playback formats like ASF, AAC, AMR, MP3, MP4, M4A, WMA, 3GP, 3G2 and video playback formats like: AVI, MP4, WMV, 3GP, 3G2, M4V, MOV
Lumia 925 has an internal memory of 16 GB. It comes with a RAM of 1 GB.
Nokia Lumia 925 is equipped with 8.7 megapixel PureView main camera with Carl Zeiss lens. The camera has 4 x digital zoom that can take photos at resolution of 3264 x 2448 pixels and record videos at 1080p at 30 fps HD videos. The device has a 1.2 MP front facing camera which can shoot 720p videos. Both cameras have still image capture technology. The camera enhances the quality of the low-light images and enables you to take high quality images.

Lumia 925 is equipped with non-removable Lithium-Ion BL -4YW 2000 mAh battery. The talk time for 2G is up to 18.3 hours and for 3G is up to 12.8 hours. The Standby time for 3G is up to 440 hours. The music playback time is up to 55 hours and video playback time is up to 6.6 hours. The maximum Wi-Fi browsing time is 7.2 hours. The talk time, standby time and music and video playback are subject to network and phone usage. There are features like Automatic Screen Brightness adjustment and Battery Saver.

Lumia 925 has not yet been released by Nokia in India. The device has few changes over Lumia 920 like Camera and Display. Lumia 925 is equipped with AMOLED display which is more suitable to Windows 8 phone and there are few improvements in Camera. As the windows store gets filled up with more apps this would be a great alternative to many users. There is no information about its release date but it is expected to be released by the end of July in India and price is expected to be around Rs.35000-Rs.40000.
