Introduction
After the successful launching of Q700 and Q800, Lava mobile company has now launched Q1000. This smartphone runs on Android 4.2 Jelly Bean operating system and features a 5 inch IPS display. The mobile is powered by 1.2 GHz quad core processor. Xolo Q1000 is a high end phone which has been priced decently at a range of 13k to 15k. Lava Xolo Q1000 is the third mobile from Lava which runs on quad core processors.
Design and Hardware
Almost every Indian mobile makers are launching large screen mobiles. But only some of them are really cares about how it looks. Lava is one among those companies. They released their latest Xolo series Xolo Q1000 with nice looks and sturdy build quality.Lava Xolo Q1000 comes in both white and black colors. Like other Xolo series, the phone comes with slightly curved edges and a thin chromium strip is running along the sides of the phone. On the left side we have the camera button and volume rocker button, lock or power button on the right side and the top side holds the micro USB port/charging port and a 3.5 mm audio jack. On the back side there is a 8 megapixel camera in round shape with LED flash, below the camera there is Xolo logo and the loud speaker at the bottom of the back panel.
The 5 inch large screen covers more than 90% of the front panel. Above the screen there is sensors, earpiece and camera nicely arranged and below the screen there is 3 capacitive buttons which are back, home and menu buttons. As the camera is little projecting from the phone body, it feels little awkward and you won't get a flat balance when you place the phone somewhere and more over the camera glass is prone to scratches due to its projecting nature. Xolo Q1000 comes with a 5 inch IPS LCD display which has 720 x 1280 pixels resolution. The display has a pixel density of 295 ppi, which is quite a good value. Lava had given a different kind of protection to screen named as Dragon Trail glass. It has been said that Dragon Trail glass is better than Gorilla glass for screen protection. The rear camera is also capable of recording full high definition videos (1080 p), which is an excellent feature of this phone.

Lava Xolo Q1000 is a smartphone with extra good features. This is the third smartphone from Lava with quad core processors and Xolo Q1000 is an advanced smartphone launched with advanced technology used. This phone is very thin and especially designed for single hand use. At Rs 15K, this smartphone does have its best features and specifications and Lava Company have done their best to please their customers with Xolo Q1000. But we have to check if these features are sufficient to compete against other smartphones in this price range.
