Google introduces AdSense Chat Support for selected publishers

Google has introduced chat support for selected group of AdSense publishers with effect from 27 May 2013. Learn more about this new support option from AdSense.

It has always been one of the biggest complaints from AdSense publishers that it was almost impossible to reach out to Google for any concerns regarding AdSense issues. The support options offered by Google were limited to AdSense Academy, Help Center and official AdSense Forum. A limited number of high earning AdSense publishers had the option of contacting Google through email.

Google introduces Chat Support for AdSense

On 27 May 2013, Google introduced chat support for high earning AdSense publishers. As of now, this is a beta program and so Google has warned selected the publishers to expect changes to the program.

Here is the email from Google regarding this new option:

AdSense Chat Support

Google sent out the email to selected publishers on 1 June, even though the program was already live on 27 May 2013. During the initial offering the chat support is available only during select hours. For Indian publishers, it is available for just one hour, starting from 11AM, Monday through Friday.

Eligibility to get Chat Support

Google has not mentioned the criteria to become eligible for the chat support. However, after analyzing couple of different AdSense accounts, I have come to the conclusion that it is available only for AdSense accounts earning above US$10,000 per month. (Please correct me if I am wrong on this).

Also, Google has informed the selected publishers that they need to retain current level of AdSense revenue as well as a good account standing in order to remain eligible for chat support.

It is a good sign for AdSense publishers. Lack of options to get in touch with AdSense team was one of the biggest concerns for many AdSense publishers and Chat Support is a great relief for them. I hope Google will soon introduce a call center and phone based customer service too for established publishers. Phone based support through account managers is already available for the publishers who have account managers with Google AdSense.

How to contact Google AdSense through Chat Support

If you are eligible for AdSense Chat Support, you will see the additional option when you visit the "Contact Us" option in AdSense Help Center. Visit this link to check if your AdSense account is eligible: https://support.google.com/adsense/#contact=1. (When you visit this link, make sure you are logged in to your Google account, to which your AdSense account is associated.)

Chat Support

The support options displayed in the Contact Us page shows various options available to you. Many publishers who earn more than US$25 per week have the Email support option and higher earning publishers will have the Chat option.

Ataul,

As of now, this option is available only for big publishers. If you don't belong to the $10K per month earning publishers, you may have to wait until you reach that level or until Google expand it to all publishers.
