Since E-Learning has become a trend in schools these days, manufacturers are targeting children and releasing products for their needs. HCL launched its Champ for children and this might be a competition to Swipe's Junior and Samsung Galaxy tab 3 kids. It's powered by Android Jelly Bean 4.1 and 1 GHz ARM processor. It's given a 2 mega pixel rear and a VGA front facing camera and an in built 4 GB memory that can be expandable up to 32 GB via SD card (micro). As said it's for kids, this tablet is pre-loaded with lots of educational apps and material for children.
Other customizable apps like creative app with which one can create own books is also included. With it's 1 GHz processor and 1 GB RAM this tab is no doubt going to provide powerful functionality. Also, parental control or customization is provided to allow particular apps to be used by their kids. Several other interesting and fun applications are also included in this kids tab. Since there is no availability of SIM, you cannot make voice calls. However, this tab is not officially announced, it is available on online shopping portal Snapdeal for a price tag of Rs.7,399.
