Asus has launched its 7 inch Android tablet Memo Pad HD 7 at the Conputex trade show in Taipei. It seems that the price of the tablet is around Rs.7400. The exact date of availability of the tablet in India is not yet declared by the company. But it is expected to be released in India in the month of July, 2013.
The tablet has a 7 inch capacitive touch screen display ( IPS display). The resolution of the display is 1280 x 800 pixels. The device comes with a RAM of 1 GB and an expandable storage of 8 GB to 32 GB via micro SD card. The tablet comes with one web storage free for one year.
The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 tablet comes with 5 Mega Pixel primary camera and 1.2 MP secondary camera. The tablet is powered by an ARM Cortex A7 quad-core processor but the exact clock speed is not known yet. The tablet runs on Android 4.0 operating system. Asus has confirmed that they will launch the tablet with the latest Android 4.2 Jelly bean operating system.
The Asus Memo Pad HD 7 tablet comes with features like Bluetooth 3.0, Wi-Fi, stereo speakers with enhanced sound by Sonic Master audio technology. The tablet will be available in 4 colors - Black, White, Pink and Green. The device weighs only 302 grams and is only 10.8 mm thick.
It is expected that the tablet will be available in Indian market by the end of July, 2013. The exact price and availability of the tablet will be known only in July, 2013.
