The device provides high speed wireless broadband connectivity for upto 5 simultaneous users at speeds upto 7,2 Mbps. The device has a dual SIM slot which works either with Tata Photon Plus services or Tata Docomo 3G to connect to the 3G network and provide internet.
The device is powered by 1500 mAh battery which can give you uninterrupted operation for 4 hours. With Tata Docomo 3G ( HSUPA), you can get download speeds of upto 7.2 Mbps and uplink speed of upto 5.76 Mbps. The Tata Photon Plus gives you downlink speed of upto 3.1 Mbps and uplink speed of upto 1.8 Mbps.
The services of Tata Docomo 3G Wi-Fi Hub are at present only to the operator's post paid customers. The basic plan costs Rs.750 per month which gives you 2 GB of free data usage. For additional data usage, you have to pay Rs.0.50/MB. If you are in roaming, you have to pay Rs. 0.50/MB in your own network and Rs. 0.10 /10KB if you are in another operator's network. You get 5 GB of free data and downlink speed of upto 7,2 Mbps under unlimited plan. After 15 GB, you get downlink speed of upto 128 Kbps. Beyond 15 GB, your speed reduces to 10 Kbps. The roaming charges under unlimited plan are same as limited plans.
