With lofty looks and a premium feel, does HTC Desire 820Q live up to everyone's expectations? Let's find this in our review. HTC Desire 820Q is a 5.5 inch Phablet which supports resolutions of up to 1280 X 720 pixels. The display is pretty good but would have been much better if developers would have opted for atleast 300 ppi density instead of an average 267 one. In terms of camera, there is nothing to complain. It features a 13 MP rear camera, accompanied by a single LED flash and a 8 MP front camera. The shots which I took in daylight were extremely detailed and each one took around 4 MB space on my SD card. Its 8 MP front cam is something out of box and the clarity of selfies were crispy enough to consider it as one of the best selfie smartphone available till date. After switching to some low light shots, I did notice some detail drops but were good enough for my expectations. But does HTC Desire 820Q perform equally well in terms of hardware and performance? Let's find this further in our review.
HTC Desire 820Q is embedded with a 1.2 GHz Quad core processor which runs on Qualcomm Snapdragon 410 chipset. There is nothing much to complain about its performance but I was not quite happy with its just 1 GB RAM. For a Rs 19k price tag, I think a 2 GB would have been an appropriate choice. But still, you can do some sort of multi-tasking without lags and freezes, thanks to its Snapdragon 410 chipset. In terms of Internal storage, HTC Desire 820Q has room for 16 GB internal storage and supports microSD card of up to 128 GB. So, you would not face any major storage issues with your heavy games and HD movies. HTC Desire 820Q is powered by a 2600 mAh Li-ion battery which easily lasts for 12 hours for a moderate user with some heavy sort of browsing, moderate gaming and some HD movie playbacks. So, overall I would rate it a 7.5 out of 10 as a fair rating.
