    Do we need another AntiVirus on our laptop.

    I have Asus VivoBook laptop that has Windows 10 operating system. Every now and then I get updates on my system especially related to Windows defender. It even asks for scanning the system on a regular basis.
    What I know that Windows defender is default antivirus and malware scanner that does the job of any other popular Anti virus software, like AVG, Avast, etc

    Should I install any other antivirus software in my system or the existing Windows defender is good enough. I have felt that an additional antivirus software slows down the system.

    Those using Windows 10 OS can shed some light.

    There are many people who do say that Windows Defender works just fine and you really don't need another application. I believe if you have only a small list of websites that you visit and those are reputed ones, you don't need any other security program.

    Windows defender is a basic protection program for protecting the system from mal wares and viruses but if you want to have complete protection with firewalls and other advanced things then it makes sense to go for a premium virus app like paid version of Avast or Mcfee or Norton etc. This is particularly useful for people who surf the net much and visit any site and are also downloading lot of content from Internet.
    Knowledge is power.

    Antivirus is necessary even if you're on a Mac or Windows device, which both come with some level of virus protection built in. For total protection with endpoint protection and response, and blocks against malware and potentially unwanted programs, it's best to install third-party antivirus software.
