WordPress is a bigger platform and shifting to that makes sense. It would give more scope for the people to see your blog but at the same time I am afraid that WordPress has a higher level of quality blogs as compared to the normal blogging sites so that could become a disadvantage sometimes. What I would suggest is first open a free blogsite in WordPress and then see the response of people and traffic to that before deciding anything in the matter.
    Knowledge is power.

The cost of moving a blog from Blogger to WordPress can vary depending on several factors, such as the size of the blog, the complexity of the design, and the level of customization required. Here are some potential costs to consider:

Domain and hosting: If you don't already have a domain name and web hosting, you will need to purchase them for your WordPress site. This can cost anywhere from a few dollars to several hundred dollars per year, depending on the hosting provider and plan you choose.

WordPress theme: You may need to purchase a premium WordPress theme if you want to replicate the design and layout of your existing blog. Premium themes can cost anywhere from $20 to $200 or more.

Plugins: You may need to purchase or install WordPress plugins to add functionality to your site, such as social sharing buttons, contact forms, and search engine optimization tools. Some plugins are free, while others can cost anywhere from a few dollars to several hundred dollars.

Migration services: If you don't have the technical skills to migrate your blog yourself, you may need to hire a professional to do it for you. This can cost anywhere from $50 to $500 or more, depending on the complexity of the migration.

In summary, the average cost of moving a blog from Blogger to WordPress can range from a few dollars for a basic setup to several hundred dollars or more for a more complex migration with custom design and functionality.

The average cost of Blogger to WordPress migration varies from person to person. If you decide to migrate your blog on your own, the costs may be relatively low, mainly related to domain and hosting costs. However, if you want a smooth transition and professional support, you may need to pay between $100 and $500 to hire a developer or migration service, depending on how complex your blog is. It's important to consider the benefits of a seamless transition against the costs associated with a hassle-free migration.
