What if I edit my article now?

I have posted some articles in the article section which still needs to be reviewed by the editors. What I would like to ask is that what if I edit them to add some images which are really necessary though not so as to elongate but really to provide more info about the camera quality to the viewers. I recently came to know that there are some changes made to the site so I would like to ask that will the post date of the article change to today date if I edit my article to add images or not? Because recently I edit one of my article pending in the draft section and I found that the article now has changed to the date of that day on which I edit my article and not have that date on which I moved it to the draft section. So will it be same for the images or that was only if I added some content to my article? This is something which needs to be cleared before the editors review my article.

When you put the article out of the draft and publish it for everyone to see, that date is the one that gets recorded for the article. However, any further changes won't change the Publish date.

I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.

You can edit the content anytime. The date of original publication will remain the same. That should be evident from the fact that in spite of your articles moving into the pending status and then moving into new submission after you edit it - the date remains same.
Anyways, now that you have understood the issue, let me close the thread.
