This was quite expected, what with several instant messengers joining the voice calls bandwagon. However, Telegram has been the latest entrant in the arena, with almost all competing services launching the voice calls for quite some time now. This late entry has been attributed to the focus that Telegram pays to the security aspect.
The feature is rolling out to the Telegram users across Europe to begin with and will be available throughout the globe soon. The launch will happen in a phased manner. It has been stated to be focussing on call quality with its Artificial Intelligence technology.
