Samsung secure folder app released for Nougat

Samsung had introduced its latest release of secure folder app for its units. This app is downloadable from Galaxy Apps Store. It is particularly launched for Nougat operating system. This secure folder will be supporting cloud based backup functionality. Those who install this app, they can customize this app name as icon. Whether this app is applicable for other brand mobiles? What are all can be stored using this app? What are all the models can use this app? Can members share your views and thoughts regarding this thread?

The Samsung Secure Folder was first launched along with Galaxy Note 7 and there it was given way to some more Galaxy A-series models. This feature is based on Samsung's "defence-grade" Knox security platform which is designed especially to create a private, encrypted space for its users where they can store their images, documents and apps. Samsung declared during its release that ' users can benefit from this feature by storing and encrypting their personal and private content.'
They have specifically told about this app that it would be compatible only with the Samsung Galaxy smartphones or later versions which are running Android 7.0 Nougat and the app has to be be downloaded only from Galaxy Apps store.
So it is clearly for those who are using this model, and unless the app picks up the craze, it is going to be used only by Samsung Galaxy users.
As I am not the one who could use it currently, I am unable to give you a first hand user feedback.

The Samsung Secure Folder has been announced for the Galaxy S 7 only as of now. It is equivalent to the hide apps available on the Play Store. It will let you encrypt your sensitive files and folders. Being the official app coming from the manufacturer itself, it should be better than opting for a third party applications.
Secure Folder app is based on the in house Knox technology from Samsung. However, you will need to be running on Android Nougat to be able to use the application. Currently available on Galaxy S7 and the A series ( the feature was initially launched with the ill fated Galaxy Note 7), you can - for now be sure about its availabilty on your device - if your carrier has rolled out the update for your device.

    Live....and Let Live!
