Who doesn't need a friend? Friends are our rock of support!
The friends feature is to enable you to get in touch with like-minded members at Techulator. If you find common interests & hobbies with some other member, then perhaps you can become virtual friends and start chatting via online chat boxes too, thereby developing the friendship along the way.
Regards,
Vandana

But what's the difference we face between the common members and the virtual friends on Techulator?

I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.

We are interacting with our co-members via the forum mainly and such interaction is friendly, but not necessarily a friendship. If you wish to take steps to create a good, long-lasting friendship with them, you can contact them and say, for example, "You accepted my friend request. Could we get in touch via Gtalk?". If they are willing, continue it from there. The friend feature thus could be the stepping stone to a more meaningful friendship.

Having a friendship with a co- member does not entitle you to any special privileges of communicating with the member concerned. If that is what you want to know. It is just that you will continue enjoying a special bond based on your being of equal wavelength. As Vandana I dictated above , you can continue to have a extended friendship outside of Techulator. You can invite him or her for talk on Facebook or Google plus.

Timmappa Kamat & Vandana,
I agree with your point. But here I am more confused as can't we send a message to any common member of Techulator and ask him/her to have a talk outside Techulator like Facebook? So what's the need to making virtual friends on Techulator. I am not yet clear with this my friends.
