That's great to see the announcement of awards so soon this month. It has been my 6th super contributor award for the forum section. Glad to be winning this award once again.
Thanks Hafeez for the timely announcement.
Congratulations to my fellow winners Anwesha and Muddassir. Especially, to Anwesha for obvious reasons. She has always been coming up with unique posts in the section, yet the award kept eluding her.

Congratulations Timmappa Kamat, Anwesha and Muddassir for achieving the award of "Super Contributor July 2015 - Forum section Winners".

All of you were quite active to contribute in the Forum section everyday. I hope you will keep contributing with the same pace and will discuss on some new trending topics. Thanks again and best of luck to the other members for the future awards.

Thank you Sagar for those great words of appreciation. It is because of the members like you that we have been able to keep the forum section alive.
I have always believed that forum section is the lifeline of the site. It is here that we can engage in informal chat with fellow members. I welcome you to be more active in the section.

Thank you Hafeez, Sagar and Timmappa for those encouraging words. It really feels like a family to be in touch with you through this section.
@Timmappa, first of all a hearty congratulation to you and Mudassir for contributing so positively in every section of Techulator. You have shown us what is possible if one is consistently hard working.
Secondly I want to thank you for being so supportive. But as far as I know there's no scope of deprivation in Techulator as it is all point based.
And that way it also encourages people to fuel in ideas along with participating in a healthy competition with fun.

There is an irrelevant post submitted by a new member Naman in this thread. Hope webmasters must have noticed it and are going to remove it from here.
@Naman, you can resubmit this post as an article after elaborating with proper descriptions and following the rules and guidelines. But anyways, that's a wonderful piece of information.

    Congrats to all the winners!

Regarding #22028: Anwesha, the points system is not good at all in my opinion as frankly expressed by me in an earlier thread. A question of just one point for June left me grasping at thin air despite quality contributions! It happened for the articles section too, not once but twice. While it is true that one should contribute irrespective of whether or not awards come one's way, yet when one knows one did not get something deserved, it feels really upsetting. Awards motivate us, loss of one demotivates don't you think? I just stayed away from the forum. Quality should always be the key basis for any award, not just blindly totalling somebody's scoreboard. [sorry for this grouse in an award-announcement thread]

    Regards,
    Vandana

Even I agree to that, but still, to avoid partiality and controversy, even if point system is there, the discrepancy should be existent while allotting points in the first place.
Even I have noticed that there are members who unnecessarily keep a thread prolonging, or elongate on a post as it fetches more points.
What is required is that, the forum section should be highly moderated, and only reviewed posts should get the points and not the irrelevant ones.
If you have followed this thread, I also raised the issue against a post submitted by Naman, which had nothing to do with this thread. Fortunately, webmasters noticed it and removed it. So, that's it, irrelevant posts or unnecessary posts shouldn't get approved at all. I too observed that you never do it. And that way your contribution deserves to be highlighted. Hope webmasters notice that and agree to this point.

Awards announcements on the basis of points helps keep the complaints of of partiality at bay. Qualitative analysis is always objective and it depends on one's views. And thus views held by one may not always find agreement with another person.
What can be done is to moderate each and every thread/ response and allocate points based on the quality. When I did the same for one of the members, it gave rise to controversy. Depending on the points allocated by automated system for the award announcement is not fullproof. Hope webmasters will come up.with some solution for the complaints.
