Need Expert Guidance on issues with my TEC articles

    Hello Experts,
I have posted 2-3 well-researched articles on Techulator in recent times and understand that they are attracting decent traffic. However, I haven't earned a single penny from them via Google Adsense. I have been facing this problem for a long time now, where on one side I am able to generate decent Adsense revenue from contributions to Ask Experts section, I just am not able to generate any Google Adsense income from my resources.

2 of the most recent articles posted where:
    http://www.techulator.com/resources/14086-How-to-Automatically-Login-to-Windows-10-Start-Screen-without-Entering.aspx

    http://www.techulator.com/resources/14112-How-to-Root-Micromax-Yu-Yureka-Smartphone-with-CyanogenMod-OS-11-using-CWM.aspx

It would be great if some expert can suggest improvement tips that will help me understand where I am going wrong. I can understand dips in Adsense earnings (as I can from my experience with sister site ISC sections like Jobs, Ask Experts, etc.), however, with resources section I somehow don't manage to kickstart my Adsense revenue (even though my Google Adsense account is a fully approved one for another blog). I would like to know how I can improve my SEO for the above two examples. Please share valuable tips.

I have gone through the source code of your articles and found nothing wrong with it. The pub id (7********4269601) is properly embedded.

The traffic generated by these two articles is not too much that you will see a distinguishable increase in your Adsense earnings. Also, just generating the traffic doesn't help you in the earnings via Adsense. It is necessary that you generate valid clicks on the ads in your articles. Sometimes even after 1000 visits to an article, you see a very little revenue generated from it. So, according to me, the problem is that the visitors are not clicking on the ads associated with your content. Have you recorded any exit links of Adsense ads clicked by the visitors?

    Mehdi

    Hi Mehdi,
Yes, you are right. I just want to learn some ways by which I can write more on quality topics that can attract ad clicks and benefit me as well as the website.

In the past as well, I have written plenty of articles on variety of topics like Windows 10, Android apps, How-to tips, etc. and still never managed decent Adsense earnings from articles section (though TEC cash credits earned are pretty good). I want to know if any TEC member is able to earn decent Adsense income from Articles alone. It would be great if someone like you can point out what I can do differently for ad clicks and earnings from them.

    Thanks & Best Regards,
    Bhakti Savla

The traffic generation is the key to great Adsense earnings. I being a newbie to this world, researched a lot and came to the following conclusions:

    1) The recent and trending topics are able to generate loads of traffic e.g. Karbonn Machone was recently launched and is this time trending on Google.

    2) 'How to' articles attract more visitors than other general articles.

    3) Try to write articles showing step by step tutorials and in the title, add '(with images)' as the visitors prefer visual tutorials than written.

Lemme give you and idea about which articles to go for. Recently I came across Tony Sir's article: How to link Aadhar with State Bank of India (SBI) for LPG subsidy which has generated a great traffic as it was trending those days when government launched the Online LPG subsidy scheme. This is what we need to consider. The topic should not be a saturated one. Try to write articles on unique topics and share them on Google + with keyword rich description. It really enhances the ranking of your articles and you can verify that by yourself. Post and article and search a keyword related to it in Google and see the results. You wont find your article anywhere. After that share the same article with keyword rich title on Google + and search for the same query again. You will see your article among the top 3 results in the search list!

Further, have a look through this article of mine.

    Hope this helps!

    Regards,
    Mehdi

    Hi Mehdi,
Thanks a lot for the valuable tips. I really appreciate it. I have been focusing more on how-to articles recently.

I totally agree with the Google+ trick and I could see plenty of my articles (that I write on other sites as well) in the first couple of Google Search result pages. I will keep your suggestions in mind.

    All,
Google+ sharing increases the visibility of the post amongst your friends and not for everybody. If you are seeing your post come in top result after sharing it on Google+ please make sure that you are signed out of Google before making the search. Only then you get the actual results.

    @Kamat,
Thanks for pointing out the mistake. I have updated that response with a link to my article. Kindly go through it.
And yes Ankit Sir is right. Sharing on Google+ makes the post visible only to your added circles. Check the search results after logging out of your Google account. Also, make sue you add the proper keywords to make it visible to everyone. The more quality keywords you add, more will be the visibility of the post.

    Regards,
    Mehdi

Google+ shares only impact search results if we share our links in the public circle with good quality description. The +1s are also very important. Try to get maximum number of +1s.
Google has recently added twitter tweets in its search results, so it is a definite sign that Google is using twitter tweets in its search algorithm. I have recently shared a tip for traffic generation from twitter in a different forum thread in techulator. You can check it here .
