Can I write new articles over last week's drafts?

Last week, I have saved some drafts, so that I could complete them when editor's review my published articles. Now my articles are reviewed. I like to write new articles by overwriting those drafts. Will it make any problem? Will editors face any problem to review it, as it will be published with last weeks date?

You can publish drafts made in the past. They will be still reviewed as new articles when you publish them.

A draft is basically a rough preparation of your article. Only when you hit the submit button it gets published & thus appears for editorial review. The date which appears on the article is not a problem.

Yes you can, publishing draft articles makes our article dash board more clean.
