PHP or ASP, which language should I learn

I want to learning a programming language, either PHP or ASP. But I don't know which programming language has more future scope. Most of the resourses I have read online says that, PHP is better than ASP. Working on ASP projects is very expensive than PHP. Please suggest me anyone between them.

I strongly recommend you to learn jQuery as it has many practical uses and is widely used by webmasters. However, to understand this language, you should know any basic language like c++, Java or any other one.
