    Why are keyboard key not placed in a manner?

    We all know that keyboard is of great use and is of great importance if keyboard would not be there we couldn't type as fast as we can today if it would not be created than we have to only use On Screen Keyboard in which we cannot type so fast. The keyboard keys are not placed in a step wise manner which is abcdef… it is like qwerty but why it is so and who has created the keyboard I want to give him a big thanks.

    Layout of keys on Keyboard is inherited from Typewriter.
    Simple logic for this inheritance was to make typing comfortable for the Typewriter Users as a lot of computer users were having background of typewriting.
    Now question arise, "Why keyboard layout of Typewriter is qwerty?"
    Answer to this is --- When we press the two adjacent keys of typewriter sequentially then its heads get stuck while hitting on ribbon. Therefore, after a lot of study, the key arrangement (qwerty) was made to minimize the chance pressing two adjacent keys sequentially. And finally the HEAD STUCK ISSUE of typewriter was minimized.
