    Share your ideas to form the rules for selecting TOP 10 core group for revenue sharing




    We announced earlier that we will share our AdSense revenue every month to the top 10 members (for first 1 year).

    At this time, we are framing the rules for this program. Please suggest your ideas and suggestions to select this top 10 members every month and how to split the revenue.

    The basic idea is to keep the members motivated and contribute more quality content. So, give your suggestions to achieve this goal. Also, I want to make this revenue sharing monthly. Every member should be given equal opportunities, including the members joining at later stages. (We can't fully depend on member rank since member rank depends on the overall points received which will give a leading edge for the old members).

    Hi Tony Sir,
    Rules according to me
    1. Count the overall points of a member in a month.
    2. Make a list of top 10 members based on total points in a month.
    3. Count percentage contribution by each member and distribute revenue in the same percentege.
    4. For the next month the points of earlier month should not be counted.

    I also have a query. Will this program start in july or in august.

    This program will start in July which means the first revenue share will be announced in August. For first payment, we will count points and revenue in June as well.

    Dear Tony,

    You can do the following for the Top 10 members of the mywindowsclub.com

    1) Earned total points in a month.

    2) Take the percentage of the total points of each members.

    3) How much amount you have to divide in top 10 members ?

    4) Now take the amount on the basis of percentage of each member.

    5) Now send that amount to the top 10 members of mywindowsclub.com

    Hi Tony,

    In my opinion I believe that the following would be best way to pick 10 members to make them eligible for revenue sharing.

    1) The top 5 members based on the overall points for a particular month.
    2) One member who is contributing high quality posts to the website.
    3) One member who has the highest referrals for the month but on a condition that the number of referrals should be more than 10 or 20 or whatever might be the number.
    4) One member who has won the highest awards or prizes for the month.
    5) One lucky member amongst all the members who had made it to platinum level.
    6) One member who has reached Gold level from Bronze in just a span of 15 to 20 days.

    The amount for the quality contributors should be a bit high compared to the other lucky winners and normal contributors.

    Dear Mr.Tony,

    Well, your efforts on this subject shows that how much you employ democratic processes in MWC. Well, coming to the point, let me also share my views and ideas on this subject:

    1. The Evaluation period should be strictly a Calender month and in no case, it should be extended more.
    2. Proper and more weightage should be given to Sections like Resources / Videos / Products & Reviews / Paid Links and ordinary or less weightage may be given to Forum and other Sections of MWC with reference to the points scored from it.
    3. The uniformity of in the performance of members should not be insisted [i.e.] if a member works during holidays only and remains inactive in ordinary days, then also the evaluation should be the same and on par with other regular & active members in MWC.
    4. Points from incentives like Awards etc. should not be reckoned for evaluation purpose but points from Referrals should be taken in to account.
    5. With reference to Editor members, their performance and points for their performance should also be reckoned and given weightage in any manner that may be deem fit.
    6. All the members should be made clear that there are standards which can be quantified and which can not be quantified while deciding about the eligible core group members.
    7. As far possible, the system should be kept simple and transparent.
    8. The Revenue shall be shared by the core group members based on some percentage linked to their performance in MWC.
    9. Evaluation of Resources and other postings should be maintained at normal speed and no member should insist for any speedy disposal of their postings or shall influence anybody in MWC. This should be strictly monitored.
    10. It should be seen that proper balance is arrived while evaluating an Editor member because he might loose some of his time by doing editing and thus may loose some points by way of less postings in MWC.

    These are all some of the ideas that struck my mind and will come back if any more are there.

    Just dont see the resource section and decide the awards.

    A member has to perform overall.

    While awarding see the members credentials , his character and behaviour vis a vis other memebers.

    According to me, you need to select the members by taking the quality of the contents and the percentage of the contents he posted with respect to his age in the MWC.

    Most of the members are saying to see the total number of points and decide the share. I do not agree with this. To some extent Shivani Sathi is correct. But it is difficult to get platinum level member every month. I can say that we can select like this.

    1. Top 5 members in the list based on the points acheived during the month.
    2. The next 5 members should be selected based on their rank and their contribution in various section especially in sections related to Windows 7 operating system.
    3. The total revenue amount can be divided 50-50. For example: if the revenue for the month is Rs.10000, then Rs.5000 to be distributed to the 5 members who are toppers based on the points. The rest Rs.5000 to be given to the other 5 members who are selected based on the contribution and rank etc.
    4. While distributing the 50% to the 5 members, it can be calculated based on the ratio of their points earned. Same way for the other 5 members.
    5. The points from incentives like awards should not be counted.
