Getting sound problem in laptop

Hi Members,

I have facing one problem in my laptop. I am using Compaq laptop. Sounds are not coming in outside speakers. But if i plug-in headset their i could here sounds. Normally i cant able to hear sounds outside my laptop. Before i dont have this problem but now facing. I reinstalled audio driver and softwares. I dont know what sort of problem my laptop facing in this. Could anyone will help me to come out from this. I need to hear sounds in my laptop even without plug-in over speakers.

Check your external speaker. I think that is your problem. Or connect your port correctly

I mean check the condition of speaker. One problem may be damage your speaker. Or your port is not working properly. Can you hear audio files with its own speaker ?. Or you can check your 3.5 mm port using another speaker. Again problem occured we can mension it is your laptop's problem

Hi Bharath,
There the sound problem is common problem with the Compaq laptops. If you are facing the sound problem then you can perform some inspections like
1. Download the new driver and re install it.
2. If it is not working then try to re install operating and install again the fresh updated driver if it is possible.
3.If this is also not work then there are some hardware problem so you have to check the hardware if you know abut hardware.
4. Otherwise you can consult with the any Compaq service center or any other shop.

Hi,

First of all check whether the volume icon on the task bar is muted or
not.Then double click on the same icon.A dialog box will appear.Take "option" menu and then click advanced controls.There is an option for hardware testing.If there is no sound,contact the compaq service store.\

Thanks for your piece of information. I decided to take my lap to compaq service provideer for the problem. I think speaker not working.

Hi

As you stated that your earphone is working properly so it means there is not any driver problem in your laptop so there could be the problem in external speakers. It can be damaged by playing video in vlc player in high audio because this condition was happened with my friend. I think your external speaker is damage and you have to go to service center for repair . If it is in warranty then it will be repair if you not tell the reason because they are not taking the claim by damaging from vlc player. In service center your problem will be solved.
