Most of the Antivirus keeps system protected. But be aware of it, all the software should be original. User based type.
Some of the top best antiviruses are
1. Microsoft essential
2. Shield delux
3. Trend micro titanium
4. Norton
5. Panda
6. ZoneAlarm
7. ESET NOD32
8. Kaspersky
9. Avast
These are some of the best antiviruses in the market. I suggest you to use Microsoft Security Essential. Because i am using it. It is really a good one which i have ever need.

As i have the experience of using kaspersky. This is the best one in all aspects so i will recommend you kaspersky my all time Favorite. Well as its my regular and faithful antivirus from last one year. I am just tension free and i do never worry about my internet security and all. It provides me all the protection to my system. And i am getting the update for the kaspersky too which enables my computer to be update and aware of the latest upcoming viruses and worms these days. Some key features of the kaspersky:

The best antivirus is Norton Internet Security 2010. Please note that Microsoft also recommend Norton products. NIS 2010 is very light and effective. We can get NIS 2010 with 90 days trial period. After trial period we should need to buy the license for one year. Approximate cost of one license is Rs. 1450 and we can install the same on three PCs at same time. Expiry date of the license will be same for all PCs.
Norton Internet Security contains SONAR technology. Using NIS 2010 we can keep our PC from known and unknown viruses. Now NIS 2011 is also available in the market at same price.
