How to upgrade Micromax A110 to Android 4.1 jelly bean?

Wondering how to upgrade your Micromax A110 phone to to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean? Follow this thread to get tips on upgrading your Micromax phone.

I currently using Micromax A110 smartphone running on Android 4.0. I want it to upgrade to Android 4.1 Jelly Bean version. I searched the net for up gradation procedure but nothing as such is available there. Can someone help me how to root Micromax A110 and upgrade/install Android 4.1 Jelly Bean.

  • There is no official Android Jelly Bean update for the Canvas 2. You can Google search for Jelly Bean ROM for Canvas 2, but you need to root, and rooting will void your warranty. And if you brick your device while rooting, it can never be used again. So do it under your own risk! If you have no idea about rooting and stuff, I recommend you not to do anything and stick with ICS.

  • You should search it correctly. There will be article for "Android ICS to Jelly Bean upgrade" not as Micromax A110 software upgrade. Ok let me answer your question.

    First root your Micromax A110.

Then download Jelly Bean firmware and connect you mobile with PC. You should have Micromax PC suite to upgrade it to Jelly Bean. I tried it in my Sony mobile. There are several bugs in Jelly Bean. If you are so interested try it one time and downgrade it.

Nothing will happen if you do it correctly. Don't change any settings once you root your mobile.

  • Hey, Micromax have announced Jelly Bean update to the Canvas 2 users which is a big surprise from them. It is said to be coming next week, but, there is just one problem. You have to go to a nearby Micromax service centre to update it to Jelly Bean. Over The Air update isn't there nor can it be updated through some computer software. Just wait for the announcement of the dates when it is going to update.
