  • As per my knowledge Android came in to existence in the year of 2005. Android Inc, is founded by one of its co-founders Andy Rubin. Company is not financially better so, Google offered financial help to Android, now Google is the main hero behind Android technology. Google allows developers to develop apps for Android platform under the Apache license. In the year of 2005 Google bought Android and release its first Android based smartphone on 23 September, 2008. Now Android is Google's property.

  • Android is developed by Andy Rubin, Rich Miner, Nick sears and Chris white in the year 2003. It was mainly developed for touchscreen mobiles. Later in 2005 search giant Google made Android its subsidiary. This made Google's entry into mobile platform.

  • Andy Rubin and his team initially developed this Android platform. Later Google helped them financially and owns entirely now. Google has many applications most of which are free to get and some are paid to get. Still applications are being developed. Today most of the phones are released with this OS. Jelly bean 4.2 is the latest from Google.
