  • Gmail and Google map are not working in my old Apple laptop

Is your MacBook Pro no longer support Gmail or Google Maps? Know how to use Google services like Gmail and Google Maps on your old Apple laptops.

I am having an old Apple laptop (MacBook Pro: OS X version 10.9.5) in which Safari is the browser. It is not supporting Gmail and Google Map. When I go to update Safari then it says that this OS does not support new version of safari. When I go to update OS then apple says that there is no support for this old OS now. Is there any way out? Please provide some solution.

If Gmail and Google Maps aren't working on your old Apple laptop, try these troubleshooting steps:

    Gmail:

    1. Check internet connection: Ensure stable internet.
    2. Browser update: Update Safari or try Google Chrome/Firefox.
    3. Clear browser cache: Safari > Preferences > Advanced > Show Develop menu > Empty Caches.
    4. Cookies and data: Safari > Preferences > Privacy > Manage Website Data > Remove All.
    5. Gmail settings: Check Gmail settings > General > Browser settings.
    6. Enable JavaScript: Safari > Preferences > Security > Enable JavaScript.
    7. Restart laptop.

    Google Maps:

    1. Update browser (as above).
    2. Clear browser cache (as above).
    3. Check location services: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Location Services.
    4. Enable Google Maps permissions: System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Location Services > Google Maps.
    5. Update Google Maps app (if using).
    6. Disable/reenable JavaScript (as above).

    Additional steps:

    1. Check Apple laptop's operating system (OS) version. Update to latest compatible version.
    2. Disable/enable Wi-Fi.
    3. Restart router.
    4. Check for malware: Run virus scan.
    5. Clear DNS cache: Terminal > type "sudo killall -HUP mDNSResponder" > enter.

    Compatibility issues:

If your laptop's OS is outdated (e.g., below macOS 10.13), Gmail and Google Maps might not support it.

    Upgrade options:

    Consider upgrading to:

    1. Latest macOS version (if compatible).
    2. Newer browser versions.
    3. Alternative browsers (e.g., Chrome, Firefox).
