  • Problem in Unlocking Bootloader

Unable to unlock Bootloader by the normal ways? Know from our experts what alternatives you can try to unlock your Lenovo mobile Bootloader

I want to unlock the bootloader of my Lenovo A6600 Plus mobile.
But after entering into fastboot mode & connecting my device with PC via USB cable, whenever I type the command 'fastboot oem unlock' in command prompt, there are two options showing in my mobile:
    1. Press volume up button to unlock the bootloader
    2. Press volume down to cancel
But whenever I press volume up button, it's not working. Only the volume down button works which cancels the command & it won't let me unlock the bootloader.
Please suggest me what to do & how to unlock the bootloader. My volume buttons are working properly but in this case volume up button not works.
    Please solve.

  • No brand allow / approve immediately for bootloader unlock in their phone that creates problem of the mobile OS. Almost all of the smartphones are coming with bootloader locked only.

You have to either email or call customer care for bootloader unlock purpose. They don't give its authorization easily and immediately until and unless they collect the phone owner's complete detail.

Brand's Software developer or authorized person only allowed for bootloader status changes.

Bootloader may void your smartphone's warranty. So, you can unlock bootloader if you are tech geek and call the brand for it.

    • The password is provided by Motorola team for which you need to send them a unique identifier. To generate it, type and enter "mfastboot oem get_unlock_data" on cmd.
    • You will get 5 lines of string on the screen. Copy and paste just the strings and merge them without any space.
    • Share the string with Motorola on this page - https://motorola-global-portal.custhelp.com/app/standalone/bootloader/unlock-your-device-a
    • Your password will come to your email within 48 hours.
    • Connect your phone again in fastboot mode and with Admin rights to cmd after switching it off. Type the following commands:
      cd c:\mfastboot
      mfastboot oem unlock UNLOCK PASSWORD
Here UNLOCK PASSWORD is your password string received in the e-mail.
