    I have purchased a Lenovo IdeaPad Y510 laptop in February 2008 and it is now very old to function properly. I wanted to sell it but one of my friends suggested me to disassemble it and make use of every possible part of it. I want to use an old inbuilt hard disk of this laptop to work as USB portable hard disk drive.
    Can you help me out to convert this Lenovo laptop hard disk drive into a portable USB hard disk drive?

    You can buy an external hard disk 'case' or 'casing' from a nearby Electronic market, or online as well. The cost would be around INR 300-500 only or possibly less price in the offline market.

    Your laptop hard disk can be a portable USB hard disk afterwards.
