    Computer and smart devices are the basic need of today. One can trace the history of web browsing by viewing history tab from any web browser like Google Chrome, Firefox Mozilla, Safari or Opera. Similarly, I want to know when my PC or Laptop was used for how many hours between start and shutdown duration. Can it possible to know the start and shutdown history on a PC or laptop?

    Hi Paresh,
    Yes, it is possible to know the start and shutdown history of a PC or laptop. This can be accessed in the Eventviewer present in Windows but getting the information is very complex using the Event Viewer. But we have other simple solutions. There is a third party portable tool called TurnedOnTimesView, which helps you to view the list of startup and shutdown history on your PC or laptop. I have attached the zip file of the software, as it is a portable utility, you have to just unzip and execute the file: TurnedonTimesView.exe which is present in the folder. The Software is brought to you by NirSoft.
