The Honor 9i can be considered to be a good option in comparison to Lenovo K8 Note. That does not mean Lenovo device is inferior by any standard.
The following comparison can give you a good idea of both the devices.
Design and Build
Honor 9i has the dimensions of 156.20 x 75.00 x 7.50mm while the Lenovo K8 Note measures 154.50 x 75.90 x 8.50mm. That would make both the devices similar with the Lenovo device being a little thicker. In terms weight, Honor 9i is lighter than the K8 Note. Honor offers you the color options in Prestige Gold, Aurora Blue, Graphite Black, while Lenovo provides Venom Black and Fine Gold colors.
Display
The screen size is a differentiating factor between the two devices. Honor 9i has a screen size of 5.9 inches, while K8 Note measures 5.5 inches. The resolution on Honor 9i is 1080*2160 pixels and that on K8 Note reads 1080*1920 pixels. That would make Honor a better option.
The Hardware
Honor 9i is powered by HiSilicon Kirin 659 and Lenovo K8 Note has MediaTek Helio X23. Honor 9i has a 4 GB RAM compared to the 3 GB RAM on Lenovo K8 Note. Even in terms of internal storage Honor scores over Lenovo with 64 GB capacity as opposed to 32 GB on Lenovo. You can expand the storage to up to 256 GB on Honor 9i and 128 GB on Lenovo K8 Note. I would again consider Honor 9i a better option in comparison to Lenovo K8 Note again in this department.
Camera
Yet again, camera section also finds Honor 9i to be better, compared to Lenovo K8 Note - if you consider the megapixel count. Honor 9i has a 16 MP camera on the rear while Lenovo K8 Note offers you a 13 MP camera. However, Lenovo K8 Note comes with a dual camera setup with an additional 5 MP camera for depth management. On the front, Lenovo and Honor provide 13 MP cameras. All in all, performance wise, camera is almost equivalent on both of them.
Other Fetaures
Honor 9i runs on Android 7.0 with EMUI customization. Lenovo K8 Note runs on Android 7.1.1. The distinguishing feature between the two is the stock Android experience you will enjoy on K8 Note. The stock Android will provide you the best ever experience with no bloatware. Lenovo K8 Note is getting updated to Android 8.0 by July, 2018.
The battery capacity on Honor 9i reads 3340 mAh, while that on K8 Note is 4000 mAh. Both the devices come with essential connectivity options like Bluetooth, GPS, WiFi and microUSB connectivity. However, K8 Note lacks NFC which is present on Honor 9i. Pricewise, there is a huge difference of Rs. 5000 between the two devices. Honor 9i is priced at Rs. 17999 and the price for Lenovo K8 Note is Rs. 12540 on Flipkart. Both of them come with dual SIM functionality, but Honor 9i comes with Hybrid slot, while Lenovo K8Note offers you a dedicated SD Card slot.
Having a look at all those features and specifications - I do not see much of a huge difference between the two devices. Apart from the screen size and Internal storage, both of them fare equally good. The above concise spec sheet should provide you a fair idea about the devices. In my opinion, Honor 9i scores slightly higher than the Lenovo K8 Note though choosing the other one may not be a bad idea either.
