iPhone 7 and 7 Plus indeed are something Apple fans would be looking forward to. What upgrades it has is what you treat to be important as far as your smartphone is concerned.
The spec sheet of iPhone 7 reads as below -
Design
As far as the design is concerned, we normally do not see much of a difference. Yes, but there is a huge difference compared to previous devices - the 3.5 mm headphone jack is gone. It will now have Lightening jack. The iPhone now comes with a haptic HOME button. Water resistance has been introduced.
Display
The usual 4.7 inch screen continues to have its existence. The resolution reads 754 x 1344 pixels. The pixel density would be 326 ppi. Lack of a higher resolution can be a dampener for people who would want to migrate from Android or other platforms. The 720p resolution of the display feels ancient at the current age. Apple still uses the LCD technology for its screens. The sharpness is lacking. Apple has claimed that the display is 25 percent brighter than the last year's variant.
Hardware
The iPhone 7 has been powered by A10 fusion chip. The 64 bit processor is quald core. It is claimed that it is 40 percent faster than the A9 processor found in the previous version. Out of the four processors, two will work at high performance mode while the other two will work at high efficiency mode. That would save more battery. The phone will be available in 32, 128 and 256 GB variants in terms of internal storage. There has been no word (as usual) on the amount of RAM.
Camera
There is an improvement to the camera in comparison to iPhone 6S. The rear camera is of 12 MP resolution in tune with what has been found before. However, it uses a larger sensor this time, thus increasing the camera bump on the rear side. Pictures are quite better. The front camera has received a boost to 7 MP.
Battery
We all know that Apple never comes up with any information on the battery capacity of its devices. It has been reported that the battery capacity has been upped this time. Apple has indicated that the battery is capable of 12 hours of backup in LTE browsing.
Price
The phone has been launched in the US and it will cost $649 for the 32 GB variant. The 128 and 256 GB variants would cost at Rs. $749 and $849. iPhone 7 Plus
The iPhone 7 Plus shares the similar specifications as the iPhone 7. There are a few little differences though. The screen size reads 5.5 inch in place of 4.7 inch. The 1080 p resolution finally makes its entry on an iPhone with iPhone 7 Plus. Rest of the specifications remain same. The RAM and battery capacity has not been revealed by Apple. But, there should be a little hike than that on iPhone 7.
Pricing
The iPhone 7 Plus is priced at $769 for 32 GB variant. The 128 and 256 GB versions of iPhone 7 Plus have been priced at $869 and $969 respectively. The release dates for the iPhone 7 Plus are same as that for iPhone 7. Indian pricing has not been indicated as yet.
