  • Lenovo ZUK Z1 has USB 3.0 driver with USB OTG support. It doesn't have regular MicroUSB port but Type-C USB port. As the device has USB 3.0 driver, your devices with USB 2.0 may face some compatibility issues with this device. Your regular Pen drive from USB 2.0 should not cause any issues. Lenovo also does not ship with the Type C cable. So you have to purchase this from third party stores. You can also get the cable from the official store. You can attach your devices using this cable.

  • The Lenovo Zuk Z1 does offer support for USB OTG. You can connect your external drives to it so that you can view the files stored on your external drive on your phone. You can also use USB mouses or keyboards that can be used with your phone. In essence, your phone will work in both host and peripheral mode with the USB OTG functionality. Make sure though that the file system format on your drive is supported by your device.

Please note that Lenovo Zuk Z1 comes with a USB C type interface for the USB connectivity. Moreover, you will not get the USB type C cable as part of the standard accessory. You may need to purchase it separately. Kindly note that there are some issues reported in developer forums like XDA that some cables may not work properly with the device.

  • Lenovo Zuk Z1 supports OTG cable but the USB port for Zuk Z1 is of 3.0 which is faster and most advance. All the other smart phones are using USB 2.0 and also it supports USB type 3 charging. So when buying the OTG cable make sure to look up the information for USB 3.0 and also the external drive which you are using should be also of 3.0, USB 2.0 devices may work but will be little slow.

Finally go with the supported formats and also the external device which you gonna use and buy the OTG cable by verifying carefully. One tip is that the 3.0 will have a blue color inside where as the 2.0 will have black.

  • Yes, off course, the Lenovo ZUK Z1 does supports the OTG cable connectivity, The users may feel free to connect their external pendrives to their Lenovo ZUK Z1 using an USB OTG cable and explore the data on their pendrives to their Lenovo ZUK Z1 smartphone.

I find that the harder I work, the more luck I seem to have.
