  • How to recharge a Grace 2 period BSNL 3G sim card ?

Do you want to know how to recharge a Grace 2 period in BSNL 3G sim card ? Ask our technical experts for the best solution.

I was having an extra BSNL sim card which I had not used for months. I got it out today for verifying some accounts and found that it is showing grace 2 period. I am not allowed to make any calls or send any sms from the number. How much should I recharge it with so that it becomes normal?

  • Your number will be deactivated after the end of Grace period 2 if you do not recharge your number within the period. The recharge amount is dependent on the telecom circle to which you belong.

There are two recharges you will need to make at this stage. Recharge the number with an appropriate validity voucher. You can obtain the exact denomination by calling up the customer care. The plan voucher will provide you with a validity of six months. Once that done, you can recharge your SIM for any amount of talk time you would wish to.

  • When your SIM goes into grace 2 period, you have to go through two processes to get back the number. First process is when you have to obtain the validity date using plan specific voucher. If your plan comes under "Lifetime" plan. Then you're forced to add minimum 20 Rs to activate it in Grace 2 period. In case of the other plans, you have to activate using as low as 10 Rs activation. These activation prices vary depending on your earlier plans and the region (urban, tier 1 or 2 city etc).

After activation. you're supposed to top up your talk time. This can be done depending on your talk time requirement. Once your phone number is activated after the grace 2 period, you can top up of any amount and there is no restriction. All you have to do is make sure your phone is making specific calls or top ups specific amount in each quarter. Those rules vary based on the effective plan.
