Networking service for storing data on multiple computers

(NAS) Network-attached storage is a file-level computer data storage server that is connected to a computer network that provides data access to different groups of clients. NAS is known to be specialized for the purpose of serving files either through hardware, software, or by direct configuration. It is generally manufactured as one of the computer appliances.

NAS systems are known as networked appliances which is consistent of one or more storage drives, that are in most cases arranged into logically redundant storage containers which in short is called as RAID.

The physical path through which the computer signals travel is called The Transmission Medium. It is the physical path established between the transmitter and the receiver in a
data transmission system.
